This position is responsible for assisting attorney and owners by providing clerical and research support services including document preparation and review.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Drafting legal contracts, correspondence and other documents
* Drafting, filing and managing various business entity documents for corporations, LLCs and partnerships with State agencies.
* Complete New Franchise Applications/Agreements
* Filing documents with courts
* Filing Annual Reports
* Researches and analyzes statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources
* Prepares, organizes, stores, and retrieves files
* Keeping track of changes in legal agenda and providing timely updates on changes
* Assists in implementing changes to contracts to comply with local, state and federal legislation/regulations.
* Assist lawyer through all stages of corporate transactions
* Balance Fee Account and Escrow Account
* Setup new bank accounts, online access, and administer of users
* Facilitate Wire Transfers/ACH Transfers/Distributions
* Generate monthly bank statements, monitor monthly activity, order deposit slips
* Perform other duties as required.
*QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS*
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks and other related software.
* Organized with attention to detail.
* Basic understanding of court and administrative proceedings and documentation.
* Thorough understanding of contracts, agreements, and proper maintenance of all legal records.
* Superior proficiency in administrative tasks.
*Education and/or Experience:*
* College degree preferred in legal related field.
* Minimum of 4 years experience in a legal department or similar department
