Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal staff
- Prepare legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and contracts
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information
- Organize and maintain legal files, medical records and documents
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Assist with document production and trial preparation
- Handle client phone calls
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal secretary or in a related role
- Proficient in data entry and document management systems, knowledge of Filevine is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with litigation processes and court filings
- Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills
