*JOB DESCRIPTION* *Position:Workforce Activities Coordinator* *Job Summary:* The Workforce Activities Coordinator will work with college workforce staff and industry representatives to develop outreach and promotional strategies and events that increase awareness and enrollment in credit and non-credit career and technical programs.
Activities include facilitating college-based outreach events for the public and for regional employers, development of outreach materials and social media postings, and maintaining a project webpage.
Assistance at participant orientations may be required.
The position reports jointly to the Executive Director of the Career Accelerator and the Dean of Career and Technical Education.
*This position is 100% grant funded and will require some evening and/or weekend work as needed.
* *Supervisory Responsibilities:* None *Duties and Responsibilities:* • Collaborate with college workforce staff and regional industry partners to develop college-based activities and events to raise awareness about career and technical education and workforce training at SouthArk • Develop and maintain project webpage on SouthArk’s site • Collaborate with SouthArk’s marketing director to develop outreach materials for distribution online and in-person • Facilitate college-based events for the public and for employers to promote the college’s career and technical programs and workforce training, including guided tours • Stay current with the opening or expansion of new manufacturing facilities in this region and job openings • Maintain accurate programmatic documentation and student/industry-related records, as per grant and/or college requirements • Participate in industry-focused meetings on and off-campus • Submit required program reports in a timely manner • Assist workforce staff with participant orientations or other industry-related events that may occur in the evening • Perform other duties as assigned *Skills and Abilities:* · Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office) · Strong written and verbal communication skills · Strong organizational skills *Required Education and Experience:* · Associate degree in an industrial, technical, or related field · Minimum 1 year experience in an industrial setting *Preferred Education and Experience:* · Bachelor’s degree in an industrial field or related field · 3 years’ experience in an industrial setting *Physical Requirements:* · Sit for extended periods of time · Stand for extended periods of time · Lift at least 10 pounds *APPLICATION PROCESS (PLEASE FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS TO APPLY):* *Applicants must complete the South Arkansas College application form available at www.
