Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate tanker trucks to transport liquid cargo to local Houston locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and follow proper procedures
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating the vehicle
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or incidents
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A with hazardous material endorsement, tanker endorsement, and TWIC card
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a tanker driver or similar role
- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents in the past 3 years
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols for transporting hazardous materials
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, dispatchers, and team members
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle unexpected situations on the road
- Physical stamina to perform loading/unloading tasks and work long hours if necessary
